Mt. Peyton
Significant Drill Results
- Historic rock grab samples of up to 44.00 g/t Au collected from sub-crop around the Shirley Lake area (Assessment Report – 002E_1366)
- Shirley Lake hosts historic highly elevated lake sediment samples of up to 1,010 ppb As
- Historic drilling was conducted at the Hurricane showing located on the southwestern corner of the property (Who did the work?)
- MP-90-05: 7.90 g/t Au / 1.00 m
- MP-90-13: 8.40 g/t Au / 0.40 m
- MP-90-14: 7.50 g/t Au / 1.00 m
- MP-07-15: 8.83 g/t Au / 1.00 m
Key Highlights
The property is underlain by Silurian to Devonian aged Mt. Peyton Intrusive Suite rocks, which includes diorite, monzonite, and gabbro phases.
An extensive VTEM survey in 2021 revealed deep structures conducive to gold mineralization.
Airborne geophysics interpretation highlighted a structural feature of approximately 10 km in length, the Mt. Peyton Linear trend, that is untested with potential for significant discoveries.
Geological Features
- Dominated by the Mt. Peyton Intrusive Suite, with a complex geology that includes crosscutting narrow aplite and tonalite dykes.
- Structural complexities due to northeast-southwest trending Schooner Fault Zone, creating zones for potential gold enrichment.
Historical Exploration & Results
Exploration Activities
2021: Completed a 2,183 line-km airborne VTEM survey, ground geophysics, and soil sampling
2022: Focused on prospecting, mapping, and validation of historic rock samples
2023: Continued focus on geological mapping/prospecting and refining targets through geophysical data interpretation
